Common vial sizes and water amounts
| Vial | Water | What that gives you |
|---|---|---|
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10 mg/mL; 1 mg = 10U |
| 20 mg | 2 mL | 10 mg/mL; 2 mg = 20U |
| 30 mg | 3 mL | 10 mg/mL; 2 mg = 20U |
| 30 mg | 2 mL | 15 mg/mL; 2 mg = 13.3U |
Worked examples
Concentration 10 mg/mL → 100 mcg per unit → draw 20 units (0.2 mL) on a 30U syringe. That vial holds about 15 such draws.
Concentration 10 mg/mL → 100 mcg per unit → draw 20 units (0.2 mL) on a 30U syringe. That vial holds about 10 such draws.
Concentration 10 mg/mL → 100 mcg per unit → draw 10 units (0.1 mL) on a 30U syringe. That vial holds about 10 such draws.
Notes for this calculator
Mixing to 10 mg/mL (1 mL of water per 10 mg) is the simplest layout: every unit is 0.1 mg, every 10 units is 1 mg. The calculator will happily do any other concentration; this one just makes the barrel readable.
A 30 mg vial with 3 mL of water needs ten full 30U draws of water, or one pull on a 3 mL syringe. The water-fill panel counts them for you.

Common questions
How much water do I add to a 30 mg retatrutide vial?
3 mL gives 10 mg/mL, so a 2 mg entry is 20 units. 2 mL gives 15 mg/mL, so 2 mg is about 13 units. Enter your own numbers above.
How many units is 2 mg of retatrutide?
20 units at 10 mg/mL, 13.3 units at 15 mg/mL, 40 units at 5 mg/mL. The water you add sets the concentration.
How many draws are in a 20 mg vial?
Divide 20 mg by your entry: 2 mg gives 10 draws, 4 mg gives 5.
Does the calculator recommend a dose?
No. You enter the dose your protocol calls for and it converts that into syringe units, mL, and doses per vial. It never suggests what to take.
Why is my draw too big for the syringe?
The concentration is low for that dose. Either use a larger U-100 syringe or mix the next vial with less water. The calculator shows the exact water amount that would fit your syringe.
